Their spacious garage made for a nice wind break from the ever present Wyoming wind.

November first snow!

It started snowing on Friday morning (Nov. 9)...and

finally stopped on Sunday afternoon (Nov 11).

Longest storm, and most snow we've received in 2 years!

Picnic with a Moose!

On July 21 we went on a picnic to the high Uintas with Ryan, Nicole and the boys.  We ended up in a area called the Upper Provo River picnic grounds. After we got everything out of the car and set up...we discovered that we were not alone!  Can you spot the Moose in the picture below?

Not only one but two Moose were about 60 ft away from us!

They were very content to sit in the meadow and ignore us.

UNTIL!

One decided to get up and check us out! 

 We started retreating back to the car...but after a minute

 or so he just turned back around and laid down.  He apparently
didn't see us a much of a threat.

After a couple of hours with the Moose...we moved on to Butterfly

We then found another place to enjoy Grandpa's birthday cake.

Eli couldn't wait to have birthday cake!
